Robert Calkhoven

Robert has provided financial planning services to clients of Bimson Smith Partners since 2003. He has been involved in the Financial Planning industry since 1986, initially in his native The Netherlands and since 1988 in Australia. Robert has held senior management positions with Financial Planning, Private Banking, Funds Management and Life Insurance organisations. Since 2001 he has operated his own financial planning business. Robert is a senior partner and shareholder in Blue Horizon Financial Services.

Robert is well qualified, with his educational and professional background including:

• Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
• Bachelor in Economics
• Master of Arts in Management
• Diploma of Financial Planning
• Diploma in Life Insurance

Robert is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) and the Self Managed Super Funds Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA).  He is also an Authorised Representative of Professional Investment Services Pty Ltd, (Australian Financial Services Licence holder No. 234951).

In 2007 he won their prestigious Professional Standards of the Year Award.
